I am a qualitative researcher with a specific interest in ethnographic and phenomenological methods. I am interested in learning how people make sense of their lived experiences and the way they navigate the social and cultural worlds around them.

My academic research examined girls’ education in India and Cambodia, exploring the barriers girls’ face to their education and how schools and families are working to overcome these challenges. This work shaped my approach to interviewing, observation, long-term immersion, and understanding lived experience within context.

Since 2022, I have been researching women working across the global coffee industry. Based on interviews and fieldwork in coffee-producing countries including Ethiopia, Colombia, Rwanda, and Guatemala, the project explores women’s experiences, expertise, and agency within an industry shaped by complex histories of gender, labor, and power.
